Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited commenced its 5G services in India earlier this month with top metro cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, and more. On Saturday, the Chairman of Reliance Jio, Akash Ambani launches Jio 5G services in Nathdwara, Rajsamand in Rajasthan. The True Jio 5G service is also available in Chennai along with other high-footfall areas like educational institutions, religious places, railway stations, bus stands, commercial hubs, and more across India. In a release, the reliance jio said that the True 5G services will soon be available in additional cities in India.
Today, we have powered the first True5G-enabled Wi-Fi service at the holy town of Nathdwara and the temple of Lord Srinath Ji. With this, we will power many more such locations and allow them to trial our services. In addition, we welcome Chennai as our latest city to be added to Jio True5G Welcome Offer.
Reliance Jio chairman Akash Ambani said in a statement.
Jio said in a release, Jio users in 5G services-enabled areas will get Jio True 5G services without any extra charges during the Jio Welcome offer period. Further, the company also said that non-Jio users also will be able to try 5G services before they move to Jio and get a full unlimited service experience.
Reliance Jio earlier this month launched 5G services in Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Varanasi initially. The company brought 5G to India with a Jio True5G Welcome Offer, where Jio users can avail of unlimited 5G data with speeds of up to 1Gbps for no extra charge in supported areas. The Welcome Offer, however, is an invite-based-only offer and not for all Reliance Jio users. According to 91 mobile reports.
